This brooch is embroidered with Japanese Miyuki glass beads. The charm is composed of a Swarovski crystal top and a pretty garnet stone. The back of the brooch is covered with soft suedette and the pin is gilded in fine gold.

In Asia, the natural garnet stone was mined by the Honza warriors of Pakistan. The latter lent to the bright red stone a deadly power, more powerful than lead bullets and then fired garnet-set bullets at their British opponents.
