Aventurine stone has been used since prehistoric times, especially in Ethiopia, in the manufacture of tools and weapons because it was sharp and resistant.
The first to write about the natural stone aventurine are the Chinese, more than 5000 years ago. They gave it the name of “Imperial Yu Stone” at the time. Often used in royalty, it was associated with the goddess Guanyin Pusa, goddess of pity, compassion and love.
Green aventurine was used in the form of talisman or in the form of elixir based on crushed mineral and water, to give strength, vitality and longevity.
Among the Incas, more than 2,000 years ago, the glittering green mineral was credited with the power to attract wealth and gold. Numerous aventurine sculptures were made during this period.
